Why we help
First Light was started by young widowed people, for young widowed people. When we all found ourselves facing the loss of our spouse we searched for help and support but found this was lacking.
So, we created the organisation that we wish existed when we needed it most in the hope that it would help those who would follow behind us.
Our vision
Our vision is for a world where young widowed people live full and happy lives, while celebrating their love for their departed spouse in a community of acceptance and support.

How can I help?
There are many ways you can help us deliver our programs to young widowed people throughout Australia, such as raising funds by joining in an organised fun run, organising a bake sale at work or hosting a memorial event in your loved one's honour.
