First Light helping young widows through grief in regional Australia
Rebecca Adams was married to her husband Daniel for just six weeks before he died unexpectedly. Ms Adams co-founded First Light Widowed Association to make sure other young widowed people were not alone in their grief.
ABC Capricornia presents the insprinig stories of Ms Adams, and Suzanne McTier-Browne, who hosts First Light Local Catch Ups for widowed people in the Rockhampton region.

“I was the only person who I knew who was a younger widow and you do feel very lonely. It’s nice to be around people who have a bit of an understanding of that grief.”
