From Heartbreak to wholeness:
A holistic path through grief - honouring our loss and rediscovering purpose

In this session we will explore how grief touches us on every level – discussing the impacts of grief on our physical body, our minds, our hearts and our spirit – and discover gentle holistic practices that can support us in processing, moving through, and honouring our grief.

We will also consider how we might begin to move from heartbreak toward wholeness and renewed purpose by reconnecting with our true, authentic self.

We will discuss how grief can leave us feeling displaced in the world, unsure of who we are without our person, yet purpose does not disappear after loss, it transforms and evolves – it may be rediscovered or a renewed purpose.

I will share gentle ways to reconnect with yourself and how to begin noticing what brings meaning, even in the smallest moments – by honouring these sparks of purpose, we can be guided forward with love, resilience and hope. 

About Melissa

Melissa Lindsay’s world was shattered after her husband unexpectedly passed away in 2021, leaving her widowed at 39. Confronted with the darkness, isolation, and overwhelming pain of grief, she recognised the complex, multi-layered nature of her loss.
 
Tapping into her inner resources, her knowledge through studies and training, and holistic practices, she explored ways to process and navigate her grief.
 
Through movement, creative expression, mindfulness, meditation, sound and music, nature, and connection with other widowed people, Melissa discovered gentle pathways that softened the edges of her grief and helped her reconnect with herself. This journey ignited her purpose to walk alongside and support others in their grief, offering the depth and wisdom of her lived experience and sharing the healing tools that supported her.
 
Today, she is the founder of Holistic Grief Wellness, a support that nurtures the whole being (body, mind, heart, and spirit) for those walking the path of grief. Melissa is a qualified Mindful Grieving Yoga Therapist, Creative Arts Therapist, Holistic Grief Counsellor, Yoga and Meditation Teacher, and Sound and Vibrational Healing Practitioner.
 
She has thoughtfully designed and facilitates grief retreats and programs that integrate her range of holistic tools, and is passionate about creating safe, sacred spaces where grieving hearts can honour their loss while rediscovering self, meaning, and renewed purpose.
