Reimagining life after loss

Speaker: Suzanne Read

Grief comes in waves and controls who we are, what we do, and how we live. The person we care least about after loss is ourselves.

We are the last person to give attention to. We are the last person to care for and we are the last person to nurture. Most of our focus is outward rather than inward. That’s because focusing on ourselves creates emotion and expression of our grief. Something our society is not good at!

Throughout the last 6 years, via my holistic grief counsellor, mentors, and energetic coaches and healing training, I have established several key practices and habits that have allowed me to step into my new identity and heal from within.

My session is designed to provide participants with simple methods to reground yourself and recenter your nervous system.

These practices, which I do daily, allow me to clear my mind, which provides clarity and self-love to be able to dream big, live the life they deserve to live and be the best version of myself.

In this session I will take you through three practices:

  • A 5-minute meditation practice that you can do every morning before you start your day.
  • An energy healing practice that enables you to restore balance and flow into energy systems of the body.
  • A journalling process that connects you to self-love and redirects your energy from self-criticism to self-compassion.

You can take these into their daily life, allowing you to re-centre when times get tough and reduce the feelings of depression, frustration and anxiety which grief creates.
